The purpose of this study was to provide an overview of carbon footprinting provide relevant definitions describe the relation between climate change, carbon emissions and business practices and analyze the current state of greenhouse gas (GHG) inventorying techniques, methodologies, standards and commonly accepted practices.In doing so, this study provided a best practices review of current leading corporate carbon footprinting practices, processes and methodologies being used in today's corporate world and chose the GHG Protocol's Corporate Standard as the methodology by which to footprint Kruger Products Limited (Kruger). This exercise examined the Crabtree Plant and Joliette Warehouse and found that their emissions totaled 76,391.43 metric tonnes in 2006 and 85,012 metric tonnes in 2007.
