| This review proposes an integrated framework to evaluate the economic, environmental, and public health impacts of land use, consistent with principles of sustainability. Specific aims are to conduct a systematic review of land use research that uses an integrated economic, environmental, and public health approach (Part 1) and to present a case study on urban parks to illustrate the advantages of this integrated approach (Part 2). The review identified that an integrated approach is most commonly applied to large-scale processes that exert impact across diverse domains, such as climate change, land use as it relates to energy use, and urbanization. It identified disciplinary tools that have been used successfully for integrated work and demonstrated the power of a spatial approach. The case study described the economic, environmental, and public health outcomes that could be incorporated into integrated analysis and suggested possible interactions between them. An integrated approach presents the opportunity to advance multiple goals simultaneously, maximizing return on investment in the current context of limited economic, temporal, and spatial resources.;Keywords.
