Abstract/Summary:
This paper will examine the evolving relationship between China and a selection of Southeast Asian countries, and how that relationship is being affected by the global financial crisis. Specifically, this paper tests the theory that policies of economic transformation, undertaken by China in reaction to the global financial crisis, are creating increased competition and tension with Southeast Asia.
