Development of PILEACT database of load tests performed on deep foundations on road works in Puerto Rico

This work describes the development of the database PILEACT which was created by compiling the information and data on load tests performed on deep foundations in road work projects of the Puerto Rico Roads and Transportation Authority. Among other things, this database includes general information on every project and foundation recovered, geotechnical information, results of static analyses, and results of load tests. The database, which was developed under a Microsoft AccessRTM platform, has a graphical interface that allows its users to run queries on the information, modify the information, and store new information on a user-friendly manner. Along with the database a user's manual was developed. This manual has the purpose, besides giving instructions on how to install the database on a computer, of describing the users with details the options they have to manipulate the information stored on the database. This database will serve as a useful tool that will allow the Roads and Transportation Authority to keep an organized and accessible registry with the information on projects where load tests had been performed on deep foundations.
