| This thesis explores the role of the feminist imaginary in two of Jeanette Winterson's novels. Sexism and sexual liberation in the novels are examined through the lens of psychoanalysis and radical feminism. The thesis assesses Winterson's contribution to the area of postmodern sexual identity and her role in the history and progress of feminism itself. |
