| The intent of this project report was to identify the considerations for adapting folk drum-ensemble works for drum set, specifically the piece Agahu from the Ewe of Ghana, as well as three additional works. The traditional ensemble's musical sections, instruments, instrumental-techniques, and parts are examined in detail and then adapted to drum set, showing how the author determined his own arrangement and subsequent performance of Agahu. |
