Abstract/Summary:
The results of the first Auger PhotoElectron Coincidence Spectroscopy investigation of the anomalous M4,5VV (3d) Palladium Auger line shape is presented. For comparison purposes the APECS investigation of M 4,5VV Auger fine shape of clean Ag (100) is also presented. The PdAg surface alloy was achieved by thin film vapor deposition of Palladium on Silver. Two different alloy compositions pertaining to two different deposition times are discussed. Coincidence measurements from both Auger and Photoelectron spectrum are discussed taking each case at a time comparing the results with non-coincidence singles spectroscopy. The experimental results from coincidence measurements of dilute Pd on Ag are compared to the results presented by Weightman et al. and Hedegard et al.
