his study was conducted to determine the concurrent validity of the Large Allen Cognitive Level (LACL) test against the Mini-Mental State Exam (MMSE). The LACL and the MMSE were given consecutively to 30 well-elderly residing in retirement and community homes. Through concurrent validity testing, the results of this study indicate that the LACL was a valid assessment for cognition in a sample of the well-elderly.
