The purpose of this action research study was to determine if parents were comfortable using the technology and applications that their children used at school and to determine if a training program would have any affect on the parents' comfort level after the training. The seminar focused on training parents how to use a tablet and laptop applications used in the school as well as how to access student work housed online. The problem this study explored was elementary school parents' technology comfort levels and how to provide additional training to these parents in order to facilitate use of the technology that their students use in the school and in the media center. The hypothesis was that by providing parents with the necessary training to use technology in the home, their use of the school-related technology applications would increase. The results of this study supported the hypothesis proposed.
