| Competition of global markets deeply modifies manufacturing enterprises operations. Lately, new production paradigms, such as flexible and agile manufacturing networks, appeared in order to respond to those recent market challenges. The introduction of flexibility and agility rules in manufacturing strongly modifies systems design and analysis approaches.; The aim of this work is to contribute to tools development for production planning. These tools are used at the time of supply chain design, in an agile manufacturing context, to allow better characterization of a system in order to permit more efficient design and control.; Developing three models with mathematical programming and discrete events simulation attains this goal. The system to analyse is modelled using these techniques. Then, different tests are conducted in order to obtain performance measures of the system. Two linear programming models are firstly used to generate aggregated and detailed production plans, and for determining static performance measures. Simulation is then applied for validating linear models results and for determining dynamic performance measures. Those results are compared and analysed. Finally, application scopes most suitable for each planning tool as well as their forces and weakness are submit. |
