Abstract/Summary:
With ever growing demand for air travel and improving and expanding of global market, and with the increasing of global population the air travel volume has exploded. Various economic benefits could influenced the decision of an investors to establish a new airline service. During the past few years airline industries have suffered big losses, resulting in job cut and severe blow to the economy. That growing demand will force the entire industry to move toward a more efficient approach to flight and maintenance scheduling. This means using computers and algorithms, or heuristics to determine optimum or near optimum solutions. Industrial engineering techniques provide the perfect tools for the task at hand.
