Abstract/Summary:
"Rediscovering the Renaissance: making Renaissance music available for performing on the piano; principles, practices and problems" This 76-page written project is an attempt to make Renaissance music available, accessible and playable on the modern piano. It consists of 14 pieces from two to six voices, transcribed for the piano, using an innovative colored two-stave notation; also includes brief information on each piece (including composers' biographies), CD with recordings and an article, discussing the problems of performing and the process of working on the original music.
