| The purpose of this qualifying paper was to develop a business plan for a successful comic book store and art gallery called Brick Comic Art. The business plan includes the following: an executive summary, company overview, market and industry analysis, marketing information, website development, and capital, operations, management and financial plans.;The executive summary provides a general overview of the business and current state of the comic book industry. The company overview describes the business in more detail. It provides information on the location of the business, different retail components and explains the competitive advantages that will set the business apart from others.;The comprehensive market and industry analysis based on statistics found on the comic book publishing industry through US industry reports provides essential information on the comic book industry as a whole, the business's target market and its competitors. The plan also describes the products and services in inventory including specific examples and distribution procedures.;The management plan describes the organization and management structure of the business. Including information on the owners, management team and employees.;Interviews were conducted with several successful comic book storeowners for advice and information on opening a comic book store and gallery. They included in-person interviews as well as email and phone interviews of which transcripts are provided.;A substantial financial plan is included that provides financial projections for the business for three years comprising of revenue forecasts, budgets, profit and loss statements and funding information.;Upon completion of the research and development of the business plan it is clear that Brick Comic Art has the potential to be a successful business venture. |
