High-precision magnetic survey has been widely applied in geological prospecting work, especially for magnetite and other geological ore deposits with high magnetic. It is an economic and effective way of prospecting work in areas with relatively low research. The data processing method tends to be more and more precise with the continuous development of magnetic survey prospecting techniques, and moreover,3D inversion technique has obtained positive effects in the deep ore prospecting and the crisis mines prospecting. In this paper, magnetic survey data of Habuqigaigaole area,Inner Mongolia has been finely processed and interpreted.Based on the geological data and physical property parameters, the geo-physical model has been established and the 2.5D inversion in human-computer interaction on the magnetic key-profile has been performed. The inversion results indicate that horizontal, slaty magnetic body is buried under the strata in southeast of the study area and it becomes larger and thicker in granodiorite intrusion outcropped location. The configuration of the magnetic body becomes more complicated by the influence of the faults and other geological structures within the area.Relative to the characteristics of low, gentle magnetic anomalies in the Mesoproterozoic Zhaertaishan group in Taonatu area, magnetic anomalies in the Upper Archean Wulashan group within the region display extremely high value signatures. Therefore, magnetic prospecting work within the region should focus on the Wulashan group.Lateral and longitudinal comparison of magnetic anomalies in the Wulashan Group indicate that magnetic anomalies generally occur as bands, among which,NE-trending banded magnetic anomalies have greater prospecting significance.Upward continuation reveals that these anomalies are aroused by a same magnetic body in the deep;combined with regional geological data, below this group is inferred to be a BIF-type deposit. Moreover, comparison and analysis of geological information reflected by 1:25000,1:10000 and 1:5000 scale magnetic surveys guide the definition of late-stage magnetic survey precision in this region.Accordingly, for comparison and analysis, magnetic anomalies within the area are further divided into A,B and C zones, which reveal that magnetic anomalies, from Zone A to Zone B to Zone C,tend to be more intense and it is inferred that magnetic bodies from northeast to southwest possibly become larger and more concentrated.A rough 3D physical property inversion of magnetic anomalies in the Wulashan Group of adjacent areas implies that known iron deposits within the region correspond well to high-magnetism bodies in the inversion model in terms of spatial location, which verifies the feasibility of 3D physical property inversion method in prospecting application of the area.Based on this,a fine 3D physical property inversion model has been established for Habuqigaigaole area,Inner Mongolia, which visualizes the spatial shape and distribution of underground magnetic bodies and guides prospecting work in the area.
