The purpose of this study is to study the effects of treadmill,bicycle ergometer and vertical training bicycle on the maximum oxygen uptake of male college students and the characteristics of substrate metabolism during exercise,so as to provide theoretical and practical reference for the application of vertical training vehicle.Research methods:sixteen inexperienced male college students from Beijing Sports University were recruited to test the maximum oxygen uptake of vertical training bicycles,treadmills and bicycle ergometers respectively.The indexes of gas metabolism during exercise were measured by cardiopulmonary function meter.The research results:(1)according to the results of the study,compared with the maximum oxygen uptake test value of the treadmill and the vertical training vehicle,the vertical training vehicle is 6%less than the treadmill,and the power bicycle is11%less than the vertical training vehicle;(2)The maximum oxygen uptake test results show that there is no significant difference in the maximum oxygen uptake between the vertical training vehicle and the treadmill,but there is a significant difference in the maximum heart rate(p<0.05),and the vertical training vehicle is lower than the treadmill;(3)under the heart rate intensity of 120 beats per minute,the fat consumption of treadmill,training vehicle and power vehicle all reached the maximum.There was no significant difference between vertical training vehicle and treadmill,but there was significant difference between vertical training vehicle and power vehicle(p<0.05);(4)when the vertical training vehicle is used to test the maximum oxygen uptake,the scheme can be used to test:the initial load is 0,the riding frequency increases 10 times every 1 minute,and the resistance knob is turned90 degrees after 10 minutes until exhausted;(5)among the three different exercise modes,the treadmill can achieve the maximum fat oxidation rate under the intensity of 61%HRmax or 47.65%VO2max,the vertical training vehicle can reach the maximum fat oxidation rate under the intensity of 64.67%HRmaxor 52.22%VO2max,power bicycle 48.22%HRmaxor 70.41%VO2max.Research conclusions:(1)when testing the maximum oxygen uptake for male universities with no training experience,vertical training can be considere d to replace power bicycle test according to different test requirements;(2)in the exhaustive load stage,the total energy consumption,fat consumption and s ugar consumption of vertical training vehicle are higher than those of treadmill,and the total energy consumption is lower than that of power bicycle;(3)the following four indexes can be used as the criteria for judging the VO2maxof the vertical training vehicle:heart rate reaches 180bpm,respiratory quotient?1.10,oxygen uptake platform appears when the load continues to increase,and t he subjects have reached the maximum effort and are unable to maintain the c urrent load;(4)under the medium heart rate intensity,the energy supply andcon sumption of sugar showed as follows:vertical training bicycle>treadmill>bicyc le ergometer;under higher heart rate intensity,treadmill>vertical training bicycl e>bicycle ergometer.
