Research On The Relationship Between Yanbian Natural Resource Endowment And Economic Growth

Good resource endowment is the basis of economic growth.Natural resources,as the basic production factors,play an indispensable role in the development of regional economy.Yanbian is rich in natural resources,and its economy has developed rapidly.In recent years,it has achieved remarkable results.Therefore,this paper mainly studies the relationship between Yanbian natural resource endowment and economic growth.This paper uses literature and theory to summarize the relationship between natural resource endowment and economic growth.Through empirical analysis,it aims to find a more accurate relationship between Yanbian natural resource endowment and economic growth.Using the vector autoregressive(VAR)model,Granger causality test,Johansen cointegration test,impulse response function analysis and variance decomposition analysis were used to examine the dynamic relationship between Yanbian natural resource endowment and economic growth.Conclusion:Yanbian is rich in natural resources.The rich natural resources have laid a solid foundation for the development of the natural resources industry.The natural resources industry has many development advantages.It is an important potential and economic growth point for Yanbian's economic development,and it is also a pillar industry in Yanbian.Significant changes have taken place in the Yanbian economy from 1985 to 2017.The economy as a whole has shown growth and the industrial structure has been significantly optimized,gradually becoming more reasonable.Since 2014,the Yanbian economy has slowed down due to various factors phenomenon.Between the economic growth of Yanbian and the development level of agricultural and sideline food processing industry,tobacco product industry,wood processing and bamboo,rattan,palm,grass product industry development level of pharmaceutical industry There is a long-term stable cointegration relationship.There is a one-way causal relationship between Yanbian wood processing and the development level of bamboo,rattan,palm and straw products industry,tobacco product industry development level,pharmaceutical manufacturing development level and economic growth,which shows that Yanbian wood processing and bamboo and rattan,Palm,grass products industry development level,tobacco product industry development level and pharmaceutical manufacturing development level have promoted economic growth,but changes in economic growth have affected Yanbian's wood processing and bamboo,rattan,palm,grass products industry development level,tobacco The development level of the product industry and the development level of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry have not played a leading role.There is no Granger reason between the development level of the agricultural and sideline food processing industry and the economic growth.Yanbian agricultural and sideline food processing industry development level,tobacco product industry development level,wood processing and bamboo,rattan,palm,grass product industry development level and pharmaceutical manufacturing development level have a greater impact on economic growth,among the four affecting economic growth Among the natural resource endowment variables,the development level of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry has the greatest impact on economic growth,followed by the development level of the agricultural and sideline food processing industry,again the development level of the tobacco product industry,and finally wood processing and bamboo,rattan,palm,grass Product industry development level.In order to reduce the excessive dependence of economic growth on resources to avoid Yanbian falling into the trap of resource advantages and promote the sustainable and stable development of Yanbian economy,the following countermeasures and suggestions are proposed:increase investment in scientific and technological innovation,optimize and upgrade the industrial structure of the natural resources industry;give play to the characteristics of ethnic regions Advantages,establish a diversified industrial structure;improve the quality of labor and increase the stock of human capital;improve the protection mechanism of ecological environment protection,and enhance the ability of ecological environment restoration.The research results of the relationship between natural resource endowment and economic growth have important exemplary significance for the future reform and development of the natural resource industry and the sustainable and stable development of the economy in the border minority areas.
