In recent years,under the support of national marine strategy and internati onalization strategy,Chinese marine science and technology has developed rapi dly.Marine electrical exploration has become one of methods for studying mar ine geology and exploring marine resources,and has gradually gained widespre ad attention in the domestic scientific community.The marine electric field det ecting electrode is the core sensitive component of the method.The sensitivity and stability of the element determine the effect of ocean electrical exploratio n.Foreign countries began research in the 1940s,there are many mature produ cts in use.But domestic research started late.The preparation process is still i n the research and exploration stage.In this paper,the response mechanism of the marine electric field detecting electrode is studied first.The electrode is divided into active electrode and inert electrode according to the structural properties of the interface formed when the electrode is in contact with seawater.The reasons for the selection of Ag/AgCl and carbon fiber as the active materials for the active electrode and the inert electrode were discussed separately.This paper focuses on the problems existing in conventional Ag/AgCl electrodes and carbon fiber electrodes,and then proposes a corresponding modification scheme to modify the electrodes:for conventional Ag/AgCl electrodes,it is susceptible to Br-,I-in the marine environment.In this paper,a method of electrode modification of PVC+NaCl as a solid electrolyte layer and Nafion film as a protective layer is proposed.A new carbon fiber marine electric field electrode was prepared by the modification method of concentrated nitric acid oxidation+silica sol coating for the problem that conventional carbon fiber electrodes are susceptible to capacitive capacitive reactance and therefore cannot respond to low frequency signals.Comparing the performance test result with the test results of conventional Ag/AgCl electrodes and carbon fiber electrodes,the corresponding defects have been improved,confirming the feasibility of the modification scheme.
