The optical telescope system is a device composed of a large number of complicated electromechanical instruments.During real observations, the telescope is easily affected by many factors, such as atmospheric turbulence, telescope aberrations,CCD noise,or mirror deformation caused by gravity.Because these factors have dynamic characteristics and the mechanism of these effects is complex,it is often difficult to directly estimate their impact. At the same time, optical telescopes have a very long manufacturing cycle and are expensive to manufacture.Besides,it often requires long hours of work to identify the system characteristic parameters. Therefore,it is necessary to understand the performance of the telescope system in advance through simulation.Besides,in order to fully understand the performance and scientific output of the telescope system,it is necessary to simulate the observation task and the telescope system together.Smulation of the optical telescope system has played an increasingly important role during the development procedure. The simulation can provide an important basis for performance evaluations of the observation equipment and generate mock observation data to test data processing algorithms. In order to maximize the efficiency of the telescope,it is increasingly urgent to develop simulation technologies that are close to real application scenarios and easy to interact for various users. The traditional simulation can no longer meet the requirement of visualization and true three-dimensional in complex environments. In order to improve the practicality of the simulation system and human-computer interaction capabilities,a virtual optical telescope integrating visualization display, observation simulation, telescope simulation and other functions has been developed. This article is organized as follows.First,we develop a simulation software to simulate optical process during imaging.Secondly, using 3ds Max and Solid Works as modeling tools to complete the construction of the 3d model. Finally, the Unity3 D engine is used as a development and integration platform, combined with the HTC Vive VR device to complete the development and verification of the prototype system. The main contents ofthis article are as follows:(1)By studying the effects of atmospheric turbulence and CCD noise on the telescope imaging, the physical process of telescope imaging is modeled using the Monte Carlo method to generate scientific observation images that are in line with reality. The main work includes: simulating the distribution of celestial bodies and generating star catalogs, mainly to generate original images of the point source distribution of astronomical observation targets;simulating the observation conditions, including the noise generated by the skylight background, instruments, etc.,and the effects caused by the atmosphere transmission process;simulation The photoelectric imaging process includes simulating the light transmission inside the telescope and generating the measured point spread function.Using python3 and c language as the platform development language,a set of optical telescope simulation software based on the Monte Carlo method was designed and completed.(2)Complete the data collection of celestial bodies and telescopes, and build a virtual scene model through 3D visual modeling software. Then the requirements analysis and functional framework design of the system are completed to complete the design and organization of the virtual scene, and the virtual scene is optimized for rendering.According to the principle and optimization strategy of real-time display of virtual reality scenes, the virtual scenes are optimized.(3)Develop virtual simulation system of optical telescope based on Unity3 D and HTC Vive interactive equipment.Using C # as the script development language, the navigation module, the starry sky simulation module, the virtual telescope module, and the optical telescope simulation platform module are designed and completed. The optical telescope virtual simulation system completed in this paper is highly realistic and immersive.Among them, the optical telescope imaging simulation software can fully reflect the characteristics of the system in the real environment such as the external conditions during the observation process and the space-time transformation of astronomical targets.Among them, the optical telescope imaging simulation software can fully reflect the characteristics of the system in the real environment such as the external conditions and the astronomical target space-time transformation during theobservation process.
