With the rapid development of Chinese economy and stable growth of population,the number of motor vehicles has been rising continuously.Traffic authorities in various cities have made great efforts in the planning and construction of roads.However,for the load capacity of urban roads,it is still unable to bear the huge pressure caused by tremendous growth of traffic flow.Therefore,how to manage the traffic flow reasonably and effectively has become a serious issue.Due to the key role of road intersection in urban road network,traffic light control system has a significant function of regulating traffic flow.Further study on it can effectively improve the load capacity of urban roads and ensure rational and efficient management according to different urban needs.At present,the widely used traffic light control system is a conventional scheme,combining timing control and manual adjustment,which cannot meet the higher requirements of modern urban transportation in terms of corresponding speed,efficiency,and road network planning.Therefore,this paper carries out related research on the shortcomings and deficiencies of this traditional signal lamp timing control scheme.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)Firstly,this paper takes the vehicle queuing as the research object,studies the vehicle starting,acceleration and following conditions,and summarizes the important parameters that affect the vehicle following state.On this basis,a vehicle passing efficiency model is proposed.The model can be implemented in combination with the driver reaction time and driving behavior preference road vehicles through the accurate calculation efficiency,the simulation results show that the model with the current widespread use of Wiedemann psychophysical perception model of the vehicle by efficiency,at the same time,according to different drivers driving preference group possesses the advantages of fast and fast.(2)Secondly,regarding single-point grade crossings as research target,it puts forward a new algorithm of signal light timing at single intersections based on queueing network.Based on the study of two-phase and four-phase signal light groups,combined with queueing network theory,the algorithm can quickly calculate the timing proportion of different signal light colors when taking intersection throughput improvement as optimization goal.Taking Weinan City as an example,this paper selects the typical area as the research objective and focuses on the study of intersections and T-junctions among various road types.The stimulation results show that the timing allocation ratio provided by this algorithm can significantly improve the service efficiency at single intersections no matter it is a two-phase or four phase signal light group compared with the timing control scheme of multiple real single crossings.(3)A lot of study to improve road throughput for the purpose,aiming at improving the efficiency of the intersection traffic during rush hours,however,the coordination between the multiple intersection control should not be neglected,therefore,to improve throughput single point of intersection is presented in this paper,according to the waiting time of the vehicle and road network in each intersection waiting queue length as performance index,is established based on the queuing network queuing model and the plane of the single point intersection area network queuing model,more intersection and signal cycle length timing algorithm.The algorithm can quickly calculate the signal timing scheme of each intersection according to the coordinated control requirements of the traffic management department for the regional road network,and ensure that the vehicles at each intersection can pass through the intersection with the optimal efficiency.Traffic simulation experiments were carried out on the proposed algorithm,and the performance indexes were throughput rate,time length and queue length.The results show that the proposed algorithm has significantly improved throughput rate and road network coordination performance compared with the current real traffic signal timing scheme.
