With the development of the Sulige gas field, the difficulty of stabilizing production has gradually increased. The development of water-bearing gas reservoirs in the western area of the gas field is the key to stable production of the gas field. However, due to the high water content of the gas field in the Suxi block, development uncertainty is high, and technology and efficiency are facing double pressure. In order to more effectively strengthen the development of water avoidance in Sulige West District, and consolidate the foundation for stable production. This paper selects the S47 block in the western Sulige area as the research object.Through stratigraphic division, core observation, and sedimentary characteristics research,it is clear that the main gas producing zones in the study area are the He 8 Member and Shan 1 Member.Analyze the water production and the source of the produced water in the study area based on the logging, gas testing, dynamic monitoring, water sample testing, production characteristics and other data in the study area. The water production of the gas wells in the study area is mainly affected by the distribution of sand bodies, structural positions and Micro-heterogeneity control. The study on the distribution of air and water in the study area in the plane and in the longitudinal direction shows that: 1.Vertically,there are three distribution characteristics of upper air and lower water, upper dry(/water)and lower air,and upper and lower dry air(/water);2.Plane The sand body in the northeast has a good thickness, and the gas layer does not produce water. The central and southern reservoirs are worse than the northeast, with a smaller gas layer thickness and more water production.Comprehensive analysis shows that the gas-water distribution in the study area is affected by three factors: 1.The intensity of hydrocarbon generation and effective migration channels control the gas-water distribution pattern;2.The micro-and macro-heterogeneity of the reservoir controls the differential accumulation of gas and water;3.Local microstructures control the distribution of gas and water layers in a small area.According to the research results,we have a better understanding of the gas-water distribution rules and control factors in the study area, and provide new ideas for the development of water avoidance in the western area of the Sulige Gas Field.
