In evolutionary game theory, rational individuals hope to maximize their own payoffs so as to achieve 'survival of the fittest'.In many game models, although cooperative behavior leads to the maximization of overall payoffs, betrayal can maximize individual payoffs and selfish individuals often choose to betray. In real life, cooperative behavior is ubiquitous. Therefore, how to explain the maintenance of cooperative phenomenon in the group composed of selfish individuals and how to improve the level of cooperation in the group have attracted the attention of many researchers. In recent decades, researchers have proposed many mechanisms to help study the cooperative phenomenon under the framework of evolutionary game theory.Previous research has shown that the presence of confidence level can effectively improve the level of cooperation in a group.Under the condition that cooperators are not dominant, the overconfident group's cooperation level can still maintain a high value. In previous work, researchers used the same level of confidence for a group of individuals. However,in the real society, individual attributes often show heterogeneity. This thesis mainly studies the influence of individual confidence level heterogeneity on cooperation in the game model of Prisoner's Dilemma in a lattice network.Specifically,we consider two situations:static heterogeneous level of confidence and time-varied level of confidence. The results of numerical simulation show that the heterogeneity of confidence level promotes cooperation to a large extent, and the static level of confidence allows cooperators to survive in the environment where the defector is more dominant. We found that adjusting the distribution of heterogeneous self-confidence can effectively improve the level of cooperation.Furthermore,we found that the presence of time-varied confidence level allowed cooperators to survive over a wide range of parameter. And there is an optimal increment parameter of confidence level to make the group cooperation level reach a higher level.
