Research On The Effect Of Digital Economy Level On Green Economy Efficiency

In the past 30 years,with the popularity of the Internet,China’s digital economy has been in the forefront of global digital economy.It is undeniable that as a new form of economic and social development,the digital economy with informatization as its essence makes full use of the advantages of the era of big data.Through effective information sharing,it increases the communication efficiency of both sides of the transaction,reduces the transaction cost,and improves the economic benefits.Therefore,digital economy plays an important role in China’s comprehensive economic strength.However,the development of digital economy brings economic benefits,at the same time,it has more or less impact on the environment.As the saying goes,green water and green mountains are green mountains and silver mountains.In any case,we should integrate the concept of green economy into it,so as to achieve a win-win situation of ecology and economy.Therefore,in the development of digital economy,how to improve the efficiency of green economy has become a matter that needs to be paid attention to and solved.Based on the above analysis,it is very meaningful to study the influence of the former on the latter with the level of digital economy as the explanatory variable and the efficiency of green economy as the explained variable.Combined with digital economy development theory and green development theory,based on the panel data of 30 provinces and cities in China from 2011 to 2018,this paper first expounds the theory of digital economy development and green economy development,and then discusses the path of digital economy to green economy.Then,entropy method and super efficiency SBM model are used to measure the level of digital economy and green economy efficiency of each province over the years,which are divided into three regions for comparison.Finally,panel regression model is constructed based on Mechanism Analysis and calculation results.After constructing the panel regression model,this paper first uses DF GMM model to conduct empirical research and test on the impact of digital economy level on green economy efficiency,including linear impact and non-linear impact.The non-linear impact research is carried out by adding the interaction term of digital economy level and economic growth into the regression model.Then,taking fiscal decentralization as the threshold variable,this paper uses the static threshold regression model to conduct empirical research and test on the nonlinear effect of digital economy level on green economy efficiency.Finally,the empirical results are summarized and the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.The main conclusions include:(1)the digital economic level regions in China are the best,the second in the middle and the worst in the west,and the national and three regions are rising year by year.(2)As with the level of digital economy,the green economic efficiency sub region of China also presents the best,the second in the middle and the worst in the West.In addition,although the annual change trend of the three regions is different from that of the whole country,their green economic efficiency tends to be stable.(3)In empirical research,the influence of digital economy on green economic efficiency is basically significant,with the following conclusions:(1)from the dynamic regression analysis of DF GMM model,the significance and symbol of explanatory variables have not changed when studying linear influence(without interaction term)or nonlinear influence(adding interaction term),which is significant positive,That is,the level of digital economy will significantly promote the improvement of green economic efficiency directly or indirectly,but under the negative regulation of economic growth,the promotion effect of digital economic level on green economic efficiency will be weakened;(2)Static threshold regression analysis shows that under the decentralization of low level finance,digital economy may inhibit green economic efficiency,but the inhibition effect is not significant;Under the high level of fiscal decentralization,digital economy will significantly promote the green economic efficiency.From the overall view of threshold effect,the level of digital economy promotes the efficiency of green economy,and the possibility of inhibition is relatively small.(3)Among the control variables,the significance and symbol of the urban scale and the opening-up degree do not change with the model setting,and the urban scale has a significant inhibition on the green economic efficiency;The degree of opening up to the outside world is a significant promotion of green economic efficiency.The influence of fiscal decentralization and economic growth on green economic efficiency has changed with the different model setting.The financial decentralization has no significant inhibition on green economic efficiency in the linear impact study,but the nonlinear influence research after the interaction term has become a significant inhibition effect,and generally tends to the inhibition effect;Economic growth has a significant inhibition on green economic efficiency in linear influence,but it is transformed into a significant promotion after the interaction term is added.This is probably because the interaction term has a negative regulation function,which makes the inhibition effect of economic growth on green economic efficiency weaken and then turn into the promotion effect.
