The resource environmental bear capacity reflects whether a region's natural resources and environment can bear the sustainable development of human economy and society. With the rapid development of economy and society, the shortage of resources and various environmental pollution has become an urgent problem to be solved. In order to properly handle the relationship between economic growth and ecological civilization construction, the carrying capacity of local resources and environment should be considered in the process of economic development. Therefore, the carrying capacity of resources and environment has always been one of the research hot spots. At present, abundant achievements have been made in the study of resource and environmental carrying capacity at home and abroad, which has laid an important theoretical foundation and research framework. The evaluation index of resource and environmental carrying capacity involves many aspects, such as resource, environment, society and economy,so there is heterogeneity in resource and environmental carrying capacity. The Pearl River-West River Economic Belt spans Guangxi and Guangdong, and the interaction between natural resources and environment and economic and social development is very complex, with temporal dynamics and spatial correlation. Therefore,it is typical and necessary to take the resource and environment carrying capacity of the Pearl River-West River Economic Belt as the research object. On the basis of the related researches at home and abroad, the resource and environment carrying capacity is defined in this paper.Draw lessons from the "growth limit","sustainable development","man and nature harmony","resource environment value theory".Resource environmental bear capacity of 11 cities in the Pearl RiverWest River Economic Belt from 2003 to 2019 is calculated by using the entropy method based on 23 indicators in the four major systems of economic system, social system, resource system and environment system, and the relevant discussion is carried out with them as the research objects.Firstly, the spatiotemporal pattern of resource and environmental carrying capacity in the Pearl River-West River Economic Belt was drawn to analyze the status quo,and its spatial correlation and spatial aggregation were measured.Secondly,a spatial durbin model was constructed to analyze the spatial effects of seven variables, including economic development level, industrial structure, scientific and technological progress, government regulation, industrialization, urbanization, and resource utilization level,on the resource and environmental carrying capacity of the Pearl River-West River Economic Belt. Finally, according to the main conclusions and experience of the above analysis,it is expected to provide some ideas for improving the resource and environmental carrying capacity of cities in the Pearl River-West River Economic Belt.Based on the above studies, the main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The resource environmental bear capacity of the Pearl River-West River Economic Belt presents a spatial distribution pattern with gradation changes over time, with positive spatial correlation and decreasing gradually, among which Nanning and Liuzhou show a high-low aggregation, and Wuzhou shows a low-low aggregation.(2)The ranking of the influence of the index system from large to small is: economic system, environmental system, social system and resource system. In other words, human social activities have a greater impact on the carrying capacity of resources and environment. It should be noted that economic development should not exceed the threshold value of resources and environment.(3)Through spatial effect decomposition,it is found that urbanization rate, economic development level, industrial structure and industrialization rate have a positive and direct effect on resource environmental bear capacity, while resource utilization level has a negative and direct effect.(4)The urbanization rate, government regulation, industrial structure, industrialization rate and resource utilization level have positive indirect effects, while the economic development level has negative indirect effects. These factors will not only affect the resource environmental bear capacity of the local city, but also affect the resource environmental bear capacity of the surrounding cities through spatial spillover.(5)Technological progress has no significant impact on the resource environmental bear capacity, either directly or in space.
