In this paper,the data of trace element content data of coal in six coalfields from Shanxi Province were collected,Inductively coupled plasma emission spectroscopy(ICP-OES)and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS)were used to investigate the geochemistry,such as major elements,trace elements and rare earth elements and Y(REYs)of 174 additional samples from Hedong coalfeild,Ningwu coalfeild and Qinshui coalfeild for analyzing the heterogeneity of the plane distribution of trace elements in coal from Shanxi province by statistics,including the distribution and content characteristics of trace elements in coal.The main research results are as follows:(1)On the whole,the mean content in the coal of SiO2,Al2O3,TiO2,P2O5,K2O,Na2O and Mn O in the Shanxi Formation is higher than that in Taiyuan Formation,while the content of Fe2O3,Ca O and Mg O in Taiyuan Formation is higher than that in Shanxi Formation.(2)According to the average value of trace elements in coal seams from different coal fields and the average value of elements in hard coal in the world degree(CC>5).Lithium,Zr,Hf,Ta and Re are enriched in Datong coalfield,Li,Ga,Ge,Y,Nb,Mo,Ag,In,Cs,Hf,Ta,Re,Hg,Uand Re are enriched in Ningwu coalfield,Li,Y,Se,Sn,Zr and Hf are enriched in Hedong coalfield,Li,Ga,Ge,As,Se,Y,Zr,Nb,Ag,In,Sn,Hf,Ta,W,Tl,Bi,U,Th and REEare enriched in Xishan coalfield,and Li,F,Zr,Mo and Re are enriched in Qinshui coalfield.(3)Different coalfields from Shanxi Province have different enrichment degrees of Li,Ga,Y,Zr,Hf and Ta in coals.For the coal in Shanxi Formation,the mean content of Li(174?g/g),Ga(24?g/g),Zr(436?g/g)and Hf(66?g/g)has the highest figure in Xishan Coalfield coal,and in Ningwu Coalfield,the highest mean element content in coal are Y(459?g/g)and Ta(7?g/g).For the coal in Taiyuan Formation,the mean content of Li(136?g/g),Hf(42?g/g),Ta(5?g/g)and Y(113?g/g)has the highest figure in Ningwu Coalfield coal,the mean content of Ga(31?g/g)is the highest in Xishan Coalfield and the average content of Zr(299?g/g)is the highest in Datong Coalfield.(4)The variety of enrichment elements in coal of Taiyuan Formation are obviously more than those in Shanxi Formation.Except for element Zr,the mean contents of enriched elements Li,Ga,Y,Hf and Ta in Shanxi Formation are slightly higher than those in Taiyuan Formation.
