In recent years,the research and application of fluid optics has attracted widespread attention.For example,liquid lenses,optical switches,filters,phase modulators,etc.In liquid optical devices,the electromagnetic driving method has the advantages of simple structure,easy production,large driving force,and wide adjustment range.In this paper,a liquid optical phase modulator is developed based on the principle of electromagnetic driving liquid.The phase modulator mainly has two driving modes: single and double magnets.The phases of these two phase modulators are detected by the phase detection platform,and the interference fringes are analyzed and calculated using digital image processing technology and fringe offset marking method.As a result,the phase modulation properties of the two liquid optical phase modulators are obtained.The phase modulation range of the dual magnet phase modulator is 0-166?;the phase modulation range of the single magnet phase modulator is 0-10.5?,and the phase accuracy is(7/100)?.The writing ideas and main content are as follows:(1)Discuss the research background and significance of the subject,summarize the optical phase modulator from the driving mode,summarize the research status of the liquid optical phase modulator,and summarize the electromagnetic drive theory and the interference theory of the liquid optical phase modulator and phase modulation methods are introduced and analyzed.(2)Firstly,a liquid optical phase modulator was modified using electromagnetic drive devices,and then a new type of liquid optical phase modulator is designed based on the analysis of the working principle of the phase modulator.The phase modulator has a drive with the characteristics of large force and wide phase modulation range,liquid optical phase modulators driven by single magnets and dual magnets have actually been manufactured to be suitable for applications with different phase modulation ranges.(3)The performance of the phase modulator was detected and analyzed by the phase detection platform,and the phase modulating properties of the two liquid optical phase modulators were obtained by experiments.The phase modulation range of the dual magnet phase modulator is 0-166?;the phase modulation range of the single magnet phase modulator is 0-10.5?,and the phase accuracy is(7/100)?.By analyzing the change curve of current and phase,we can get: in the current range of0-150 m A,the phase of the single-magnet phase modulator changes faster and faster with the current;in the current range of 240-330 m A,the phase and current of the dual-magnet phase modulator The curve has good linearity.The phase adjustment range of this interval is 59-107?,and the phase of the dual-magnet phase modulator changes faster in the 0-240 m A current range and slower in the 330-570 m A current range.
