On The Influence Of Confucianism On Science And Technology In The Song Dynasty

Academia has always conducted sufficient research on the "Needham Puzzle" and made a lot of explanations.At the cultural level,these interpretations actually cannot avoid the question of whether Confucian culture,as one of the main components of traditional culture,has promoted the development of science and technology in the course of two thousand years of history,or vice versa.This question has extremely important significance for the creative inheritance and innovative transformation of Chinese excellent traditional culture.Under the background of Confucianism in Song Dynasty,the birth of the first systematic work of forensic medicine in China,namely,Xiyuan Jilu,marked that the level of judicial examination in China at that time was in the forefront of the world.This period is of great significance to the study of the interaction and influence of ancient forensic technology,judicial system and Confucianism on science and technology.At the same time,taking Xiyuan Jilu as an example,through the interaction between the cultural background and science and technology of the author Song Ci and his time as the research object,this paper expounds the promoting role of Confucianism for scientists and ancient science and technology,and objectively describes the side effects of Confucianism.This kind of empirical research,which is rarely seen at present,is innovative.The advancement of science and technology is not simply the development and perfection of systems,procedures,and technologies.Changes in ideas,application of methods,pragmatic attitudes,and pursuit of ideas are actually scientific advancements and categories.Although I take "Collection of Grievance Relief Stories" as an example to explore the influence of traditional culture on science and technology,it is by no means limited to this.
