In this paper,one-year-old Caragana roborovskyi seedlings were used as experimental materials.Field experiments were conducted to study the effects of three amendments on soil improvement,growth potential,physiological and ecological characteristics of Caragana roborovskyi seedlings under different water conditions.Through the analysis of various soil,growth and physiological indicators,the best soil improvement and water management methods for seedling growth of Caragana roborovskyi in saline-alkali land were selected.The main test results are as follows:(1)Study on the effects of different amendments and different water interaction treatments on soil improvement:After adding different amendments under different water conditions,the degree of salinity and alkalinity of soil is reduced,bulk density is reduced,porosity and water content are increased,and nutrient status is also improved.In the experiment,Applying amendments whose main components are humic acid and organic acid under light water stress,and applying amendments whose main component is organic matter under normal irrigation.Both these methods could significantly alleviate the saline-alkali state of soil,improve the physical structure and nutrient conditions of soil.Thus,these could be the best way of soil improvement in saline-arid areas.In the experiment,the saline-alkali status of soil increased in different degrees from July to August.It is suggested that pay attention to the water supply of soil in these two months in order to reduce the impact on the growth of above ground plants.(2)The effects of three amendments on the growth and development of Caragana roborovskyi under different water conditions were studied.The results showed that the growth of Caragana roborovskyi seedlings under different water conditions was improved,the damage degree of membrane system was significantly reduced,the accumulation of osmotic regulators was reduced,and the activity of antioxidant system was also enhanced.According to the change characteristics of growth and physiological indexes of Caragana roborovskyi seedlings,in saline-alkali soil,the effect of amendments on seedling growth light when extreme drought occurs.At this time,artificial irrigation must be supplemented to maintain the basic water demand of seedlings.Under mild water stress,the application of amendments with humic acid and water-soluble organic acid as the main components can obviously promote the growth of seedlings.It could be the best management method of Caragana roborovskyi.Secondly,under normal irrigation,the application of the amendment with organic matter as the main components can also improve the effect.
