Zhangjiakou Madaokou Molybdenum deposit is located in the middle of silver-copper polymetallic metallogenic belt on the northern margin of the North China Platform.Due to the short discovery time of this molybdenum deposit,the research on this deposit is relatively weak,and there is a lack of in-depth understanding and comparative research data with other deposits in the region.Therefore,the study of this deposit has important guiding significance for regional prospecting.In this paper,the source of ore-forming materials is determined by analyzing major elements and rare earth trace elements on the basis of the existing investigation results.Combined with hydrogen and oxygen isotopes and fluid inclusion characteristics,the origin and properties of ore-forming fluids were determined.Through zircon U-Pb dating,the age of the rock mass related to the deposit and its indication to mineralization were determined.Based on the above analysis of ore-forming elements,properties and sources of ore-forming fluids and ore-forming age,the genesis of the deposit is determined in combination with regional structure,magmatic evolution and regional tectonic environment.The characteristics of major elements and rare earth trace elements in Madaokou Molybdenum deposit indicate that the magma of volcanic rocks in the mine originates from the remelting of sedimentary metamorphic crystalline basement in the lower crust,and the gray porphyry in the upper part and the flesh red porphyry in the lower part may be caused by different melting degrees of homology magma.The fluid inclusions of the deposit are characterized by low temperature and low salinity.The results of hydrogen and oxygen isotope indicate that the ore-forming fluid is not magmatic hydrothermal and may be heated meteoric precipitation.Zircon U-Pb dating results show that the rock in the mine for the contemporary creation,around 130 Ma were formed in the early cretaceous,the mining Shi Yingzheng porphyry than east monkey-white grass the formation of porphyry era about 138 Ma,about 8 Ma,namely the molybdenum mineralization in the area of about 130 Ma magma activity,with the east monkey-white grass rock mass related to late magmatic activity.According to the above analysis results,the geological characteristics of the study area and the comparative analysis with the geological characteristics of molybdenum deposits in the region,the Madaokou Molybdenum deposit is a magmatic hydrothermal deposit.This paper establishes the prospecting criteria and establishes the metallogenic model,which provides important data for the study of molybdenum mineralization in this area.
