Global energy Internet proposed by China is the mainstream for global energy development in the future. The essence of energy Internet is "smart power grid + UHV grid+ clean energy",The main body of the transmission of energy infrastructure in the future will inevitably be the power grid. The power transmission line is the aorta of the power grid.Hidden dangers such as tower inclination and foundation settlement caused by geological disasters have an impact on the safety and operation of the power grid, which may cause tower collapse, line breakage and even more serious accidents.Especially there are many important large and medium-sized hydropower stations in the Three Gorges Reservoir Region, transmission lines for water and electricity delivery and for trans-regional power grid are everywhere. It will have a great impact on power grid if any of the great volume and intensely arranged transmission lins break down. Therefore,it is very important to improve our ability to prevent geological disasters and ensure the safe operation of transmission lines. The Three Gorges Reservoir Region is the key region for the prevention of landslide callapses in the middle and low mountains of China. In recent years, due to the changes of the natural environment and the influence of human activities, landslides collapses occur frequently in the channels of transmission lines.Especially,in the climate of heat and frequent rainy summer in recent years, the unstable geomorphic units in the Three Gorges Reservoir Region caused different potential geological disasters. There are high risks of landslide callapse in part of the tower bases. Therefore,it is of great significance to research the emergency disposal technologies to prevent the landslide collapse of transmission lines in the Three Gorges Reservoir Region and to enhance the disposal ability of the regional power grid.Only by this can we ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid.Firstly this thesis paper briefly summerized the geological and hydrological background of the Three Gorges Reservoir Region, and statistically analyzed the status of geological disasters in the transmission lines in Three Gorges area.It is concluded that the main forms of geological disasters of the transmission lines in this area are landslide collapses and slope collapses.Combined with operation and maintenance practice,it analyzed the causes of geological disasters of landslide collapses and slope collapses of the tower bases in the transmission lines. Then it studied the early monitoring measures of the tower landslide. Some monitoring methods are suggested to monitor the foundation displacements, tower inclinations, tower material bending deformations, etc.Routine monitoring measures,on-line monitoring measures, and tower structure detection measures are all included. The above methods are mutually verified and confirmed to provide data support for the risk degrees of geological disasters to the tower and for the disposal measures. Two risk analysis and evaluation methods for towers are introduced. One method is based on the simulation analysis and evaluation of tower stress change, which establishes the finite element mechanical model of the tension section of the tower where the settlement occurs, analyzing the stress distribution of the steel structures on the tower, determining the weak components on the settlement tower, and judging the operation risk of the tower by analyzing the stress change of the section.Another method is,according to the limit value of relevant codes, the current operation state of pole and tower is evaluated upon on the variation of pole and tower foundation, tower inclination monitoring, tower material deformation, etc. Then, the disposal measures of transmission tower after geological disasters are researched.Based on the influence degree, risk grade and current state of the disaster,anti-seepage,interception and drainage measures, foundation reinforcement measures, slope support and reinforcement measures, relocation and improvement measures of tower in landslide area are taken accordingly. These measures can delay the development of hidden dangers, prevent the occurrence of power grid tower collapse, broken line accidents, and ultimately eliminate hidden dangers to ensure the safe and stable operation of transmission lines.
