Haixi Prefecture has a vast territory and rich resources,but faces problems such as ecological fragility and economic lag.It is of great significance to explore the ecological evolution,water resources utilization and the sustainable development of society and economy in Haixi Prefecture.First,based on the ecological footprint model,the sustainable development of the ecological environment of Haixi Prefecture is studied.The ecological footprint per capita and ecological carrying capacity per capita of Haixi Prefecture from 2005 to2019 are quantitatively calculated and analyzed.Combined with the ecological footprint per 10,000 Yuan GDP,ecological footprint diversity index,development capability index and sustainability index,the sustainable development status of Haixi Prefecture is evaluated from multiple angles,and the sustainability index of Haixi Prefecture in the next 10 years is predicted,and the status quo and future development trend of the ecological environment of Haixi Prefecture are comprehensively analyzed.Secondly,the ecological footprint model is applied to water resources,and the sustainable development of water resources in Haixi Prefecture in the past 15 years is studied based on the water resources ecological footprint.Through the comparison between the water resources ecological footprint and the water resources ecological carrying capacity,and from the water resources ecological pressure index,water resources sustainability index and other aspects,whether the existing water resources in Haixi Prefecture can support its ecological and economic development is analyzed.Thirdly,the sustainable development status of ecology,water resources and economy in Haixi Prefecture is analyzed by establishing a coupling coordination model.The coupling coordination models among ecology-economy,water resources-economy,ecology-water resources and ecology-water resources-economy are established by entropy weight method,analytic hierarchy process and comprehensive index method.The coordination relationship and comprehensive development level among them are analyzed,and then the sustainable development status of ecology,water resources and economy is reflected.The research results show that:(1)From 2005 to 2019,the per capita ecology of Haixi Prefecture is in a state of surplus,and there is no ecological deficit,but the overall surplus shows a downward trend,the transitional development and utilization of fossil energy is the main reason.(2)From 2005 to 2019,there is no deficit in water resources in Haixi Prefecture,the development and utilization of water resources is relatively reasonable,and it is in a state of ecological security,the degree of sustainability remains light and medium sustainability.(3)From 2005 to 2019,the relationships between ecology and economy,between water resources and economy,between ecology and water resources,between ecology,water resources and economy in Haixi Prefecture are in a high-level coupling state,and 80% of them reaches a basic level of coordination.However,compared with ecology and economy,the development and utilization of water resources is insufficient.Especially since 2012,ecology and water resources have lagged behind economy.Whether it is a two-system or three-system model,although there is a high degree of interaction between the systems,they have not achieved good coordination.
