The efficient preparation of environmentally friendly,highly efficient functional resins with wide applicability is one of the important research topics in the field of water treatment.This research is focused on the removal of typical micropollutants(e.g.,heavy metals,antibiotics,pesticides etc)in drinking water.The novel rosin-based adsorption resin was synthesized from triallyl maleopimarate(TAMP)and monomers containing polymer groups.The contents of malelopimaric(MPA)were determinated by the high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).Their molecular structures were characterized by infrared spectrum(FT-IR),mass spectrometry(MS)and nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR).The syntheized process conditions of TAMP were optimized as follows:reaction time of 6 h,material ratio of 1:15,rotating speed of 100 r/min,the amount of solvent 63.75 mL(0.8611 mol).Three novel rosin-based adsorption resins were synthesized via copolymerization from TAMP and other monomers containing polymer groups,including methyl methacrylate,acrylonitrile and acrylic acid.Based on orthogonal experiment method,the optimized process conditions were obtained.The structure and morphology of three resins were characterized by FT-IR,NMR,BET,the scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and thermogravimetric analysis.And the physical and chemical properties of these resin was determined as well.Finally,the adsorption capacities of three different types of adsorption resins were investigated.Among three kinds of micropollutants studied,the experimental results showed that rosin-based adsorption resins have the best adsorption capacities on heavy metal ions(e.g.,Pb2+,Cu2+,and Cd2+),and have medium adsorption capacities for antibiotic such as ciprofloxacin,tetracycline hydrochloride,sulfadiazine,whears there are relatively lower adsorption capacities for atrazine.Their adsorption capacities are in the range of 15?60 mg/g for heavy metals,7?46 mg/g for antibiotics,and 0.5?7 mg/g for atrazine.This study has utilized rosin,a natural resource in Guangxi region,in the production of high value adsorbent materials,and will provide the scientific and technological basis for synthesis and performance evaluation of a new family of green and efficient adsorption resins.
