Studies On The Synthesis Of Polyethylene Terephthalate And Polyethylene Adipate By Ionic Liquid

Ionic liquid does not have vapor pressure,less volatile,is a kind of environmentally friendly reaction medium and catalyst,at present has been widely applied in many fields.The application of ionic liquids in the synthesis of esters are mainly concentrated in the synthesis of small molecular ester,and for the catalyst used in the synthesis of polyester multi elemental metals or metal compounds.In recent years,with the in-depth research of ionic liquids,a patent for the synthesis of polyester with a special design of ionic liquid.This paper will be from the ionic liquid of exploring suitable ionic liquid for the catalytic synthesis of poly(ethylene terephthalate)diesters with poly adipic acid diethyl ester.Preparation two kinds of ionic liquid[Taurine]HSO₄and[TEA]HCOO with different acidity used in the synthesis of poly(ethylene terephthalate),compared with the single use of stannous oxalate as catalyst under the condition of high temperature and reaction to collect the esterification content and acid number of product,to find the appropriate ratio between the most suitable catalyst and the catalyst.Synthetic containing sulfonate ionic liquid[Hmim]TsO,[Hnmp]PTSA,[HSO₃-pmim]PTSA application in poly(adipic acid diethyl ester)synthesis research,under the same reaction conditions with p-toluene sulfonic acid were compared,to explore whether the higher molecular weight of polyester can be obtained.Through the test found that acidic ionic liquid on the synthesis of poly(ethylene terephthalate)diester has a catalytic role,different acidic ionic liquids on the catalytic effect of different,between acid between strong acid and weak acid ionic liquid on the polyester synthesis by catalytic effect is better.The effect of ionic liquids on the catalytic synthesis of poly adipic acid ester,[Hnmp]PTSA is better than toluene-p-sulfonic acid.Under the same reaction conditions to synthesize more high molecular weight of polyester.The research of this topic,shows that the ionic liquid can be used in the catalytic synthesis of polyester,and provides a new idea for looking for environmentally friendly polyester catalyst.
