In this work,we mainly studied the preparation of continuous carbon fiber reinforced polypropylene prepreg tape in the process.Currently,the domestic production of continuous carbon fiber reinforced polypropylene prepreg has poor uniformity of the exhibition and impregnation.Therefore,this topic mainly took research and the analysis on these two points.This work mainly studied the Continuous carbon fiber reinforced polypropylene prepreg with the preparation process,The main preparation process of prepreg tape was designed.The pre-treatment of carbon fiber tow was studied—the spreading process of the tows.Through a comparative study of several different processes,combined with their merits,we have designed a simple set of airflow stretch yarn.Through the gas flow by the resistance of the carbon fiber bundles to achieve the resistance to the effect of silk.The establishment of molten impregnation Process research and analysis.The thermoplastic prepreg was prepared by a melting impregnation process,At the same time,based on Darcy 's law,the molten impregnation process was analyzed theoretically,The results showed that the impregnation degree of the fiber was related to the impregnation time,the impregnation temperature and the process parameters were also designed.The dipping die was designed,We designed a heating device with a thermal resistance heating plate.The results of the tensile tests on the prepared prepreg were used to test mechanical properties.the tensile fracture surface of the prepreg was observed by scanning electron microscopy.The mainly research conclusions of this paper are summarized as follows:(1)Air dispersion tow optimal parameter selection for: drawing speed 0.02 m/s,air velocity is 8 m/s,on the basis of parameter separately tow experiments,width is 20 mm.(2)The smaller traction speed of the carbon fiber bundles,the longer the impregnation time,and therefore the impregnation degree becomes higher.Without affecting the performance of carbon fibers and resin materials,the higher temperature,the better melt impregnation effect.It is concluded that the ideal parameters for: drawing speed 0.02 m/s,dipping time is 30 s,dipping temperature is 180?,And the width of belt sample is 20 mm,the thickness of belt sample is 0.40 mm.
