As one of the oldest natural fibers,flax is widely used in traditional textile industry.It has good performance,such as good moisture absorption,lustre,bacteriostasis,antistatic and anti-ultraviolet performance.The chemical composition of flax include cellulose,hemicellulose,pectin,lignin,hydrotrope and wax.There is a direct relationship between its chemical composition and the spinnability of flax.In this article,the chemical composition of flax and its fineness,elongation at break,breaking strength were chosen as research object.Thereby the study construct the prediction Model of chemical composition and physical properties of flax.And the relationship between the chemical composition and physical properties of flax is explored to provide theoretical guidance for the degumming and spinning of flax.Chemical degumming method was used to prepare 29 sets of flax fibers with different chemical composition under different process conditions.And the chemical composition of all samples and the fineness,elongation at break and fracture strength of some samples were tested by the traditional test method.The near infrared model of flax chemical composition was established by Partial Least Squares.The results show that:the model of pectin,hemicellulose,lignin and cellulose of flax can be used for the prediction of chemical composition,and which correction coefficient(RC)and the verify correlation coefficient(RCV)are above 0.9.But,the near infrared model of hydrotrope and wax of flax can not be used as prediction.The flax of cellulose,hemicellulose,pectin,lignin and its fineness,elongation at break,breaking strength were chosen as analysis object,the gary model of the chemical composition and physical properties of flax was established.Meanwhile,according to the gary model,the effects of cellulose,hemicellulose,pectin,lignin on fineness,elongation at break,fracture strength of flax can be analyzedthat the elongation at break of flax has been found to decrease as hemicellulose and lignin content increases,but decreases with the increasing content of the cellulose and pectin;The effect of these four chemical components on the fineness of flax is opposite to that of breaking strength;The content of cellulose and lignin promotes the breaking strength of flax,hemicellulose and pectin content is a function of obstacles on the breaking strength of the flax.
