In order to reduce the organic solvent emissions in the environment, this article refers epoxy resin to the modified water-based acrylic, on its basis, introducing of β-hydroxy ethyl methacrylate, to synthesis a water-based epoxy modified acrylic resin hydroxyl, the synthesis and characterization of them were studied in detailed.First, using water as the solvent,we synthetic water-soluble epoxy-modified acrylic resin. By changing the amount of the epoxy resin and the epoxy value of the ratio of the acrylic monomer and other test conditions. Ultimately we can concluded that: when the reaction temperature is110℃, hard and soft monomer ratio of0.8:1, epoxy resin E-44take of5%to8%, the best performance resins was made. And infrared spectroscopy (IR) analysis shows the structure of the grafted product.Then, by add methyl acrylate β-hydroxyethyl acrylate, epoxy-modified acrylic is improved, then synthetic hydroxyl group resin. by explore a range of conditions, we could concluded:epoxy-modified acrylic resin dispersion aqueous is better than before the modification, and the other mechanical properties of the resin has also been greatly improved, the optimal reaction conditions:epoxy resin E-44amount of6%to9%(of monomer concentration), the reaction temperature is120℃, hard and soft monomer ratio of8:11, add methyl β-hydroxy ethyl acrylate monomer accounted for23%and characterized the resin by infrared spectroscopy.On the basis of the epoxy-modified acrylic resin, a hydroxyl group, a crosslinking agent, a pigment, an aqueous anticorrosive paint, synthetic additives studied curing temperature, curing time, the amount of crosslinking agent, paint and other factors on the coating layer will affect the performance of the membrane. The results show that when the curing temperature was140℃, the curing time is30min,30%cross-linking agent used in an amount of monomers, the number of layers of the coating layer2(film thickness of26μm), the film hardness, adhesion resistance, impact strength, water resistance, acid and alkali resistance, salt spray resistance and so achieve better results, and analyze the film surface morphology by scanning electron microscopy, in line with the requirements of water-based paint.
