With the development of the economy, people's pursuit of a better life is getting higher and higher. The demand for daily chemical products, especially green and pollution-free ones,is increasing.Guar gum is a nature gum extracting from guar beans, whose main component is polygalactomannan. The cationically modified guar gum, with properties like green recyclability, good conditioning, etc.,is widely used in the field of daily chemicals. However, the common cationic guar products have relatively large molecular weight and poor dispersibility, which need to be properly degraded. The study compared the effects of hydrogen peroxide and enzyme alone or in combination to degrading cationic guar aqueous solution. In the consideration of the storage and transportation of the glue solution, anhydrous ethanol was used as the solvent, and hydrogen peroxide was used to degrade the cationic guar to produce powder porduct. In addition, the viscosity average molecular weight was estimated by the Mark-Houwink formula. The viscosity average molecular weight and rotational viscosity were used as the macroscopic performance of degradation degree, and the degree of degradation was analyzed. The effects of temperature,p H and dosage on the degradation using hydrogen peroxide, the effects of temperature and dosage on the degradation using enzymatic, and the effects of both drug dosages on the composite degradation of hydrogen peroxide and enzymes were all investigated. The results show that the combination of hydrogen peroxide and enzyme is the most effective way to degrade. In the temperature range of this experiment, the p H is between 9-11,the higher the reaction temperature is,the longer the degraded time is,the more obvious the degradation effect of hydrogen peroxide is;when the degraded temperature is 50°C,the p H is 7,the longer the degraded time is,the more obvious the degradation effect of the enzyme is;during composite degradation, the comprehensive degradation efficiency and the amount of the drug demonstrated the result that hydrogen peroxide(0.054%,wt),and the enzyme(0.5%,wt)are proper amount to degrade the cationic guar gum(10%,wt).The results of hydrogen peroxide to degrade cationic guar gum, using ethanol as solvent, showed that glue solution, produced by the obtained sample, dissolved in water is colorless and good in transparency. The above degradation method was confirmed by FTIR characterization and ~1H NMR without the formation of new chemical bonds.Through the application evaluation of relevant professionals, the products degraded by hydrogen peroxide and enzyme complex have good dry and wet combing properties in shampoos, and are worthy of promotion among opaque products;bady wash which contains low molecular weight cationic guar gum gives the skin a smooth and delicate feel, and it has the effect of moisturizing and revitalizing;the laundry liquid with two kinds of low molecular weight cationic guar gums, one degraded by enzyme alone and the other by hydrogen peroxide and enzyme, has the effect of increasing conditioning and softening, preventing dust from re-depostion on the clothes, and providing anti-static effect. The washed clothes are bright.
