The basic principles of induction heating include electromagnetic induction theorem and Joule-Lenz law,magnetic field with periodic change caused by alternating current in coil,eddy current induced by periodic alternating magnetic field in metal workpiece,and Joule heat generated by eddy current to heat metal workpiece.With the advantages of fast heating,high efficiency,less pollution and easy automation,this technology has developed vigorously in the 21st century when fossil fuels are becoming increasingly tense.Lateral induction heating has become one of the hotspots in the field of sheet metal heating in recent years.This paper takes a steel mill to develop a continuous annealing line for steel strips and a composite aluminum foil rolling induction-heating system of an aluminum alloy company.Based on the laboratory induction heating equipment and COMSOL simulation software,a large number of domestic and foreign literatures and related electromagnetic fields consulted-Heat transfer books,learning the theoretical knowledge of induction heating,mathematically quantitative analysis of electric and magnetic fields,and the main contents of the study are as follows:(1)Based on the empirical formula,the magnetic field-electric field of the lateral induction heating process is quantified into a mathernatical model,and the mathematical expressions of key parts such as eddy current distribution function,magnetic flux distribution function,magnetic flux,electromotive force and power density are derived.(2)Based on the mathematical quantification model,the design target parameters of metal strip,such as material,width,thickness and running speed,the size and shape of the inductor and the parameters of power supply calculated theoretically.Design and check water cooling system.(3)Using the COMSOL software to model and analyze the designed sensor model,and analyze the influence of various parameters on the heating performance,analyze the possible implementation schemes that can improve the heating efficiency,adjust the input parameters,optimize the simulation heating results,and realize the horizontal full continuous numerical simulation of induction heating.(4)In the theoretical and simulation-based manufacturing laboratory induction heating equipment,the theoretical and simulation results verified,the temperature rise and heating efficiency of the strip are analyzed,and the experimental results demonstrate the scientificity and accuracy of the theory and simulation.
