The cyclone separator is a kind of equipment which is based on cyclone separation technology.It can separate phases by centrifugal force according to the density difference between different phases in the mixture.The cyclone separator studied in this paper is the equipment used for the primary dust removal system of converter in a steel enterprise.It is mainly used to remove the mechanical water(containing dust)in the flue gas.But after the initial operation of the equipment,there is still obvious rain around the discharge chimney.The preliminary analysis is caused by low dehydration efficiency of the cyclone separator.This article is based on the theory of fluid mechanics and flow field analysis.We build the three-dimensional modeling of the cyclone separator and used FLUENT fluid analysis software to analysis the various factors including blade Angle of guide impeller,the flow area of the diversion impeller,the height of the swirl section,the insertion depth of the exhaust port,and the amount of smoke at the inlet that affecting the efficiency of the cyclone separator and analysis the efficiency of dehydration efficiency on the corresponding state.The following conclusions are drawn from the simulation:(1)Under the condition that other parameters remain unchanged,when the blade Angle of guide impeller is 37°and the flow area of the diversion impeller is 2.52m2,the separation efficiency of the cyclone separator on droplets is the highest;(2)Under the condition that other parameters remain unchanged,the separation efficiency of the swirl separator is the highest when the height of the swirl section is 5600 mm and the insertion depth of the exhaust pipe is 0mm.(3)Under the condition that other parameters remain unchanged,the separation efficiency of the swirl separator is the highest when the inlet fume volume is 147000m3/h.(4)When the separation efficiency is high,the pressure loss of the cyclone separator is generally large.In the actual product design process,the relevant parameters of the equipment should be determined according to the analysis results in this paper and the field working conditions.According to the simulation results,the structure of the improved equipment is optimized,and the dehydration efficiency of the improved equipment is obviously improved.The simulation analysis of the cyclone separator in this paper can provide a basis for the design of similar products in the future.
