Cyclone separator, a kind of gas-solid separating equipment, is widely used in many fields such as chemical engineering,metallurgy, environmental protection, architecture and other industrial department. But such as short circuit flow, up ash loop, re-entrainment exists and so on phenomenon, made the solid particle couldn't be separated efficiently, so reduced separation efficiency of the cyclone. With the development of industry level and enhancing environmental protection demands, the more requires to separation efficiency and energy consumption of cyclone separator, need more advanced cyclone separator's powder deal with technology to fit each other. So this thesis detailedly analyses and studies the correlation theory about cyclone separate, be aimed at analyzing the cause of the up ash loop and short circuit flow. Applying Computational Fluid Dynamics knowledge, make use of Fluent software to analyze flow field in cyclone separator.Detailedly researched mechanism of inside flow field and the cause of the up ash loop and short circuit flow. Aimed at mechanism of up ash loop and short circuit flow, a new thought that new gas flow control thought was be put forward. In expectation of through import new gas flow with no dust to control main flow field, to reduce up ash loop interdict short circuit flow. Separation efficiency of the cyclone separator was be improved. Especially the ability to separate minuteness dust was be improved. Be based on this thought, right way was be found. Improving some part of Stairmand high efficiency cyclone separator to achieve anticipated purpose. New type cyclone separator which imports no dust new flow from the outboard of vortex finder was designed. The performance of new type cyclone separator was researched detailed, and experiment was made, also.Cyclone separator with new gas flow was simulated and analyzed. It was compared with Stairmand high efficiency cyclone separator with numerical simulation, to verify the improved design's correctness. The numerical simulation's correctness and feasibility was verified by experimentation.
