Oxime and Schiff base ligands contain more than one N and O atoms that can be easy to coordinate with transition or lanthanides ions to form metal complexes.In-depth studies have revealed that these complexes shown unique properties in magnetism, fluorescence, biological activity and so on.In this thesis,we synthesized o-vanillin oxime and1,3-propanediylbis(2-iminomethylene-6-methoxy-phenol ligands, and used them to react with different metal salts under different conditions to obtain metal complexes with single crystal structure.Their structures were characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, elemental analysis and powder diffraction(XRD),and the magnetic properties of some complexes were also studied. The main work of this paper is as follows:1.Six metal complexes with single crystal structure were obtained by o-vanillin oxime : [Yb3(Hvanox)4(vanox)2(OAc)(EtOH)]·2EtOH·10H2O(1),[Ho3(Hvanox)4(vanox)2(Me O)(H2O)]·10H2O(2),[Co?(Hvanox)(O-Phen)2]·Cl O4(3),[Dy3Zn3(Hvanox)3(vanox)3(NO3)6·(H2O)5]·3EtOH(4),[Tb3Zn3(Hvanox)3(vanox)3(NO3)6(H2O)5]·5EtOH(5),[Er3Zn3(Hvanox)3(vanox)3(NO3)6(H2O)5]·5EtOH(6),Magnetic measurement reveals that the complex 2 has weak antiferromagnetic interaction in the temperature range of 50-300k;and have a frequency-dependent out-of-phase signal in complexes 4-5,and the maximum peak value can be observed in the applied 2000 Oe DC field, which suggests the complexes 4-5 exhibit single-molecular magnet behavior;complex 6 also shows the frequency dependence in the applied 2000 Oe DC field, but the maximum peak value can't be observed, which indicates complex 6 exhibits slow magnetic relaxation.2.We used 1,3-propanediylbis(2-iminomethylene-6-methoxy-phenol ligands reacted with copper and lanthanides salts to obtained seven 3d-4f complexes:[Cu2(valpn)2Er2(NO3)5(H2O)5Cl]·2EtOH(7),[Cu2(valpn)2Tb2(NO3)5(H2O)5Cl]·2EtOH(8),[Cu2(valpn)2Dy2(NO3)5(H2O)5Cl]·2EtOH(9),[Cu2(valpn)2Gd2(NO3)5(H2O)5Cl]·2EtOH(10),[Cu2(valpn)2Ho2(NO3)4(H2O)6Cl2]·2EtOH(11),[Cu2(valpn)2Tm2(NO3)4(H2O)6Cl2]·2EtOH(12),[Cu2(valpn)2Y2(NO3)4(H2O)6Cl2]·2EtOH(13),Magnetic measurement reveals that, complexes 8-9 and 11-13 exhibits slow magnetic relaxation, while complex 10 exhibits single-molecular magnet behavior in the 2000 Oe DC field.3.We used 1,3-propanediylbis(2-iminomethylene-6-methoxy-phenol ligands reacted with nickel and lanthanides salts to obtain two 3d-4f complexes:[Ni2(valpn)2Pr(OAc)2(H2O)2(Et O)]·2EtOH(14),[Ni2(valpn)2La(OAc)2(H2O)2(Et O)]·2EtOH(15).Magnetic measurement reveals that the metal ions of complexes 14-15 exhibits antiferromagnetic interaction in the temperature range of 1.8-300 K.
