In the context of science and technology,human enthusiasm for sensory experience has led up to the discussion of adding scent into jewelry back to the public.The combination of jewelry and scent design has played an important role in history.In the fertile soil of contemporary jewelry,the value of jewelry is incomplete decided by the the price of materials used.Continuing and developing scent jewelry in new forms which has great times advantage and significance.With the development of science and technology and the innovation of scent digital technology,the combination design boundaries of jewelry and scent has been expanded.Whatever from the perspective of artistic jewelry or commercial jewelry,it paves the way for scent jewelry in contemporary ornament industry.Starting from the analysis of the characteristics of jewelry,this article sums up the contemporary jewelry characteristics which are conceptual,interactive,scientific and personal in the contemporary context.Analyze the characteristics of contemporary jewelry also using cheap materials and materials in different fields,and also brings forward new idea for jewelry design that can "experience",with "emotion" and emphasize "sensory".At the same time,horizontal analysis of the close relationship between scent and human beings is an important part of the sensory experience which with the influence deeply covering all aspects of human life.By respectively discussing the characteristics of jewelry and scent paving for the core chapter "Design Methods for Combination of Jewelry and Scent ",this article expounds the design method and feasibility of the combination of jewelry and scent under three points of view and eight aspects.It also outlines the application directions of jewelry and scent.Finally,taking the graduation project as an example,practiced the application of "smell experience" in contemporary jewelry.
