Study On Color Design Of Men’s Western-style Suits

Men’s suit is one of the main categories of men’s wear.With the change of fashion trend and the increase of consumer’s personalized demand,the color design and match of suit become an important design factor.Therefore,the study of the color design of suits is helpful to grasp the subjective preference of consumers,as well as the law of color matching,and improve the quality of the color design of suits.First of all,according to the international TOP principle,this paper expounds the basic concept,dressing etiquette and matching method of men’s suits,analyzes and combs the wearing rules and common matching rules of men’s suits.Secondly,this paper analyzes the characteristics of clothing color and summarizes the impact of consumers’ association and innovation on clothing color.The case study is made on the color matching characteristics and principles of men’s suits to lay a realistic foundation for the color matching scheme of men’s suits.Again,using semantic analysis design questionnaire,select the color image vocabulary,at the same time,collection of men’s suits,men’s shirts,deserve to act the role of tie of color images,use PHOTOSHOP design software,combined with the HSB color pattern,use of color hue,lightness and purity of three factors on the extraction and quantitative analysis,and sum up the colour of men’s suits,men’s shirts and ties.Finally,through questionnaire survey and network return visit to understand the color preference of consumers for men’s suits,combined with the autumn/winter/spring/summer fashion color reports of 2020-2021 issued by PANTONE PANTONE,an international authoritative color institution,the color design series of men’s suits suitable for the needs of Chinese consumers was completed.Through the investigation and collection of common color schemes of brand suits and the investigation of consumers’ color preferences,this paper analyzes and forms a color design scheme suitable for Chinese consumers,in the hope of bringing some practical and innovative influence to the color design of men’s suits.
