Rotary forging is a method of applying high-frequency radial forging force to bar,wire rod and pipe,and forming the blank according to the die surface under the radial compression forging force.It is also a local,continuous,chip free and precise metal forming process.The rotary forging parts not only have continuous fiber streamline,but also can improve its strength through work hardening.At the same time,the solid structure can be changed into hollow structure,so as to achieve the purpose of lightweight material reduction.At present,the feeding of rotary forging basically adopts mechanical and hydraulic support with constant speed.Because the blank will also be fed in the downward process of the die,due to the blocking of the rotary forging die,the reaction force of the die is too large during the feeding of the blank.Especially for the blank with low strength or hot rotary forging,part of the material flows against the feeding direction,and the counter flow is greater than the downstream flow.The axial force of the forging tool is reduced,and the life of the tool is increased.This phenomenon is more prominent when the feeding speed is higher,and it will also affect the forming efficiency.The focus of this paper is mainly from the structure design of rotary forging feeding device,and to ensure the rationality and reliability of the structural design of the feeding device components.On the basis of reference to the relevant technical fields at home and abroad,the structure and principle of different feeding devices for rotary forging are compared,and a new feeding device for rotary forging is proposed.The specific contents are as follows:First of all,starting from the working principle of rotary forging,combined with the domestic and foreign research on the rotary forging process,the paper mainly deduces the principle of rotary forging shrinkage of rotary forging machine in detail.Secondly,an elastic feeding device is designed to solve the problem of wall thickness increasing due to the fact that the reverse flow rate is greater than the downstream flow rate caused by the material flow against the material feeding direction in the rotary forging process.Then,ANSYS APDL was used to model the high-frequency rotary forging of pipe fittings,and LS-DYNA solver was used to solve the model.The influence of uniform feeding and elastic feeding on the performance of rotary forging was compared and analyzed.The results show that the designed elastic feeding device can still obtain the pipe with uniform wall thickness at high feeding speed.Finally,the finite element software was used to optimize the parameters in the elastic feeding process.
