As a high performance structural material,epoxy resin(EP)matrix composites are widely used in aerospace,navigation,petroleum exploration and other fields.In recent years,with the development of science and technology,people have put forward higher requirements for the properties of epoxy resin matrix composites.In this paper,epoxy resin E-51 was se-lected as the matrix,and hollow glass microspheres(HGM)modified by graphene oxide(GO)with different contents were used as fillers.Four kinds of epoxy resin matrix composites were prepared by pouring molding process,and their properties were tested and compared with HGM/EP composites.The specific research contents are as follows:1.The epoxy resin matrix composites modified by hollow glass microspheres with dif-ferent volume fractions were prepared by pouring molding process.The performance test re-sults show that with the increase of HGM volume fraction,the porosity of the composites increases,the density decreases,and the compressive modulus and compressive strength de-crease.When the volume fraction of HGM increased from 40%to 45%,the density of the composite decreased by 5.4%,and the porosity increased by 0.23%.When the volume frac-tion of HGM increased from 45%to 50%,the porosity increased by 0.4%.The analysis shows that when the volume fraction of HGM is 45%,the comprehensive performance of the composite is the best.2.Hollow glass microspheres with volume fraction of 45%were modified by different content of graphene oxide,and the synergistic reinforcement was obtained.Through SEM,FTIR test,XRD test,TGA test,EDS test and in-situ nanomechanical test system,it was found that graphene oxide can not only attach to the surface of glass microspheres,but also improve the Young's modulus of hollow glass microspheres.3.The epoxy resin matrix composites were prepared by using synergistic reinforcement to reinforce epoxy resin.The mechanical properties of the samples were tested and the fracture morphology of the mechanical test was observed.It was found that when the mass fraction of graphene oxide in the synergistic reinforcement was 0.3%,the tensile strength,compressive strength and flexural strength of the epoxy resin matrix composites reached the highest,compared with hollow glass microsphere-EP,the tensile strength,compressive strength and flexural strength of the sample increased by 94%,43.5%and 26.0%,respectively.and when the mass fraction of graphene oxide was 0.45%,the impact strength of the composites reached the highest,compared with hollow glass microsphere-EP,the impact strength of the sample increased by 100.08%.The addition of graphene oxide can well improve the interfacial bond-ing between the co-accumulator and the resin matrix,thus greatly enhancing the bonding per-formance between the two.However,when the mass fraction of graphene oxide exceeds a certain range,it will cause the agglomeration of the co-accumulator in the resin matrix,result-ing in the stress concentration of the sample and the destruction of the sample.
