My Experience Of Repairing Bassoon Reed

The reed is an important part of Bassoon,which is the starting point and key point of air induced vibration.The reed can be divided into "front","middle","root","spine" and other parts.Different parts correspond to different pronunciation principles.According to the player's individual needs,or the requirements of the work to adjust the reed,so as to achieve the desired performance effect.The works of bassoon can be divided into Baroque,Classical,Romantic,Modern and so on.According to the music period;,bassoon's performance can be divided into solo works,chamber music,Symphony team and so on according to the music form.According to the playing style,bassoon's performance can also be divided into American style,German style,French style and so on.It can be seen that when two or more works of different periods,forms and playing methods appear in a concert,the performer needs to present different playing effects in a short time,and the reed itself needs to be constantly adjusted to help the performer to complete the work better.At this time,the importance of trimming the reed piece is highlighted.The author will start from the production of simple reeds,and gradually analyze the vibration of reeds from the perspective of "solo works",“chamber music”and "Symphony Orchestra",and put forward targeted tuning scheme.
