Contents of the abstractIn order to study and analyze the behavior of welding arc under the condition of magnetic control,and obtain the optimization scheme of aluminum alloy additive manufacturing process,based on the theory of magnetohydrodynamic,the transient numerical simulation of TIG welding arc with longitudinal magnetic field is carried out by using fluent simulation software,and the software is redeveloped by UDF in fluent,The numerical models of arc welding under different welding conditions are obtained.The simulation results are verified by experiments,and the optimization scheme for improving the manufacturing process of aluminum alloy additive is proposed.Based on the conjecture and assumption of arc behavior,a two-dimensional arc model is established.The mass,momentum and energy source terms are added,and Maxwell equations are established.The governing equations of flow and heat transfer are obtained.The boundary conditions are set and the initial conditions are given.The temperature and pressure distribution images of the flow and heat transfer process are obtained and analyzed When the magnetic field of different intensity is applied,the temperature of the arc increases,the high temperature zone moves closer to the center,and the plasma velocity increases.Based on the results and theoretical basis of the two-dimensional arc model,a three-dimensional arc model is established,and the validity and feasibility of arc simulation are verified through more vivid discussion.Furthermore,the three-dimensional arc under different welding conditions is simulated,and the influence of different longitudinal magnetic field on TIG welding arc is studied Finally,the simulation results are verified and summarized with specific experiments,and the influence of longitudinal magnetic field on TIG welding arc is comprehensively analyzed.Through this study,we can get the theoretical basis and basic data of welding arc behavior analysis,and provide theoretical guidance for the optimization of welding process parameters,and also provide the premise and basis for numerical analysis of arc behavior and its thermal process.
