Due to its unique structure and excellent properties,MXene is often used as a reinforcing material to enhance multiple properties of polymers.In addition,MXene has the characteristics of easy dispersion,which makes it easier to be used as filler to enhance the properties of polymer matrix,which makes MXene have a wide range of application prospects.In this paper,MXene was dispersed in EPDM efficiently and conveniently by solution blending method to prepare MXene/EPDM multifunctional composite film.The MXene used in this experiment was obtained by selective etching Ti3AlC2 by HCl+LiF solution method.The MXene prepared by this method has more-O and-OH on the surface,which is easier to achieve the dispersion effect in EPDM.The conductivity,thermal conductivity,electromagnetic shielding and mechanical properties of MXene/EPDM composites with different contents were tested,and the sensing characteristics were further studied.The percolation threshold of MXene/EPDM composites is 2.7wt%,which is lower than that of the composites reported in related reports.Moreover,when the content of MXene is 6wt%,it has a high conductivity of 106Sm-1.In addition,the thermal conductivity of MXene/EPDM composites increases with the increase of MXene content.When the content of MXene is 6wt%,the thermal conductivity of the composite is 1.57 W/m·K,which is higher than that of other thermal conductive reinforced materials.The electromagnetic shielding performance of the composite materials with different MXene content was tested.When the MXene content was 6wt%,the electromagnetic shielding benefit of the composite materials in X band and Ku band was about 50 dB,and the shielding efficiency was 1271dBcm2g-1.It can be concluded that MXene can greatly improve the mechanical properties of polymer matrix through the mechanical properties experiment of composite materials.The sensing properties of the composites with 3 wt%and 6 wt%MXene were tested,the quasi-static tensile test shows that the sensor with MXene content near the percolation threshold(3wt%)has higher sensitivity,and the strain sensing coefficient can reach 89.6.In addition,the MXene/EPDM rubber sensor can monitor human movement behavior.MXene/EPDM rubber composites with high conductivity,thermal conductivity and electromagnetic shielding properties have a wide application prospect as sensors.
