In order to reduce the noise hazards produced by equipments in the production process,factories usually equip sound insulation covers.The wall of sound insulation covers made by traditional sound insulation materials can not have good thermal conductivity and sound insulation performance at the same time,which can not meet the requirements of the wall of sound insulation covers.Carbon fiber/epoxy composites are one kind of new type of composites with epoxy as matrix and carbon fiber as reinforcement.Compared with traditional sound insulation materials,carbon fiber/epoxy composite is not only have good thermal conductivity and sound insulation performance,low density and light weight,meet the lightweight requirements of equipments,and stable chemical properties,can be used for a long time,is the ideal material for the production of the walls of sound insulation covers.Therefore,it is particularly important to study the influencing factors of thermal conductivity and sound insulation properties of carbon fiber/epoxy composites and grasp the changing rules.The research contents of this paper are as follows:The thermal conductivity of the carbon fiber/epoxy composite materials with the different surface density of the carbon fiber cloth,the different thickness of composites,the different proportion of epoxy and carbon fiber and the different layer modes of carbon cloth were tested.To explain the influence factors such as density and structure caused the performance changes of thermal conductivity of composites.The results showed that the thermal conductivity of carbon fiber/epoxy composites increased with the increase of the surface density and the ply angles of carbon fiber cloth,but decreased with the increase of the proportion of epoxy and carbon fiber,and was almost not affected by the thickness of the composites.The change rules of sound insulation curve of carbon fiber/epoxy composites with different surface density,thickness,ratio of epoxy to carbon fiber and layer modes of carbon fiber cloth were investigated.In the stiffness control area,the decreasing slope of the sound insulation curve decreased with the increase of the surface density and layer angles of the carbon fiber cloth,and increased with the increase of the ratio of epoxy to carbon fiber,but it was not affected by the change of the thickness of the composites.In the damping control area,the sound reduction index decreased with the increase of the surface density and layer angles of the carbon fiber cloth,and increased with the increase of the composite thickness and the ratio of epoxy to carbon fiber.In the quality control area and the extension area of the mass law,the sound reduction index increased with the increase of the composite thickness and the ratio of epoxy to carbon fiber,but did not change with the change of the surface density and the layer angles of carbon fiber cloth.The composites can be formulated according to different sound insulation requirements in each frequency band.
