Frequent oil spills accidents not only cause severe harm to the marine ecosystem,but also cause great loss of oil resources.Traditional adsorbent materials are only suitable for the recovery of low-viscosity oil,and they show a low capture performance for viscous crude oil.Therefore,it is very important to develop a new oil-water separation material with excellent performance to separate viscous crude oil.The viscosity of crude oil usually decreases with the increase of temperature.Therefore,reducing the viscosity of oil by heating is a promising method to solve this problem.In this paper,using melamine sponge as substrate,polyaniline(PANI)as photothermal material and polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)as adhesive,PDMS/PANI modified sponge with strong coating was constructed by in situ growth and coating of adhesive.PDMS/PANI modified sponge has excellent superhydrophobic-superoleophilicity,and its WCA can reach154°.The larger porosity ensures that the saturation absorption capacity of different organic solvents and oils can reach 40?100 times of its own mass,which indicates that PDMS/PANI modified sponge can be used as an ideal oil-water separation material.At the same time,PDMS/PANI modified sponge has excellent chemical stability and mechanical durability,and it can maintain good performance in various harsh environments,thus ensuring that it can continuously and stably separate oil and water in practical applications.The PANI layer gives the PDMS/PANI modified sponge excellent photothermal conversion performance,and its surface balance temperature can quickly reach 81.8 oC under the irradiation of a standard sunlight(1 k W/m2).PDMS/PANI modified sponge is very sensitive to the change of light intensity,and its surface temperature can rise rapidly with the increase of light intensity.In addition,in the repeated light on/off process,stable and alternate temperature increase/decrease can be kept,which shows the stability of PDMS/PANI modified sponge in the cycle of photothermal conversion process.PDMS/PANI modified sponge has high thermal conductivity(0.74 W·m-1·K-1),which enables it can rapidly heat the surrounding viscous oil and improve its fluidity and diffusion,and this performance makes the PDMS/PANI modified sponge have excellent viscous oil adsorption performance.After 4 min of simulated sunlight,the absorption capacity of PDMS/PANI modified sponge for viscous oil is about 5.3 times that of the original unmodified sponge.In addition,PDMS/PANI modified sponge has excellent oil recovery efficiency(about 90%)and good recyclability,the surface morphology of PDMS/PANI modified sponge has almost no change after several oil absorption and drainage cycles.
