With the development of national advanced manufacturing technology AMT,made in China2025 national plan has entered a new era,which greatly promotes the development of advanced technology in high-speed cutting,mold processing,aerospace and other fields.Although AlCrSiN has excellent mechanical properties,it has poor heat resistance in cutting process.Adding AlCrON coating on the surface can improve the heat resistance and heat insulation effect,but it can increase the brittleness of the coating.Two layers of AlCrN coating with high toughness are used to improve the hardness and toughness of the coating.Based on the above,in this paper,AlCrSiN/AlCrN/AlCrON/AlCrN nano multilayer coatings were deposited by automatic arc ion plating technology,and the effects of different modulation ratio and modulation period on the properties of coatings were studied,and the mechanical,tribological and microstructure properties of the coatings were analyzed,then the optimized coating was coated on the end milling tool,and the cutting experiment was compared with that of domestic AlTiN coated milling cutter and imported AlCrN coating milling cutter,The results are as follows:Changing the modulation ratio between AlCrSiN,AlCrN,AlCrON and AlCrN layers in AlCrSiN/AlCrN/AlCrON/AlCrN coating will change the microstructure and grain growth direction of the coating.The results are as follows:the deposited AlCrSiN/AlCrN/AlCrON/AlCrN coating has a composite structure of(Al,Cr)N nanocrystalline wrapped by amorphous Si3N4;When the modulation ratio of AlCrSiN coating to AlCrN,AlCrON and AlCrN coatings was 1:1,the coating preferred orientation on(202)crystal plane,and the diffraction peaks of fcc-Cr N(110)and(220),fcc-Al N(110)and(200)planes deviated from the standard diffraction angle obviously;when the modulation ratio of AlCrSiN coating to AlCrN,AlCrON and AlCrN coatings was 1:1,the hardness,elastic modulus and film/substrate bonding force of the coating reached the maximum;The results showed that the friction coefficient and wear rate of the coating reached the minimum values of 0.574 and 0.962×10-3?m3/N·?m.Changing the modulation period of AlCrSiN/AlCrN/AlCrON/AlCrN coating can optimize the coating interface quality and change the comprehensive properties of the coating.The results are as follows:when the modulation ratio of AlCrSiN,AlCrN,AlCrON and AlCrN coatings is3:1:1:1,by changing the modulation period of AlCrSiN/AlCrN/AlCrON/AlCrN coating,the structure of AlCrSiN/AlCrN/AlCrON/AlCrN nano multilayers is face centered cubic structure,and has obvious modulation structure with clear modulation interface;When?=300 nm,the hardness and adhesion of the coating reached the maximum value of 31.029 GPa and 146.28 N;The friction coefficient and wear rate of the coating reached the minimum,which were 0.592 and1.04×10-3?m3/N·?m.Under the cutting conditions of 0.6 mm cutting depth and 0.3 mm cutting width,the 45Quenched Steel with domestic AlTiN coated,imported AlCrN coating and AlCrSiN/AlCrN/AlCrON/AlCrN coating were cut.The results show that the failure time of three kinds of coated tools is 35 min,47 min and 66 min.the wear state of AlCrSiN/AlCrN/AlCrON/AlCrN coated tools is between that of domestic AlTiN coated tools and that of imported AlCrN coated tools.The cutting life of AlCrSiN/AlCrN/AlCrON/AlCrN coated tools is longer than that of domestic AlTiN coated tools and shorter than that of imported AlCrN coated tools.
